The training program starts with an intensive 2-day overview, which prepares you for the IT Fundamentals series. These courses provide you with an in-depth understanding in several technology areas.
When you've successfully completed the Skills for Success program, you'll receive Learning Tree/GMU certification and earn up to ten semester hours of college credit.
Skills for Success is the foundational curriculum for all IT Global Learning. This six-course series provides a broad-based introduction to the use of Information Technology with a GM-specific focus. The overall objective of the program is to enable participants to develop a common vocabulary and knowledge set with respect to IT. Topic areas include networking, application development, intranets, and other areas of interest.
The BSASE curriculum provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to the field with specific emphasis placed on IT Global Learning practices and standards. This seven-course curriculum examines the entire development cycle, from identifying user requirements through testing and configuration. Each course has been developed with the active participation of IT Global Learning Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the content will be relevant to the participants.
The Advanced Series has been developed to address the requirements of individuals who work in specific areas such as XML, data privacy, Web enablement, etc. Each Advanced Series course addresses a particular topic area and covers it in sufficient detail to provide the participant with both the knowledge and the skills to become more effective in their work. In addition, all courses offer a variety of hands-on workshops and/or case study problems to assist in the development of practical skills.
