The Collaboration Tools curriculum provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to the field with specific emphasis on IT Global Learning practices and standards. As a leader in both management and IT education, Learning Tree believes that any implementation of Collaboration Tools principles requires professionals to possess both the technical knowledge and the right business skills to succeed.
Collaboration tools provide critical capabilities for improving communication, social network interaction, workflow, employee productivity and organization of critical business information. By collaborating in real time, users can be more responsive to urgent issues and make informed business decisions quickly. Examples of such General Motors standard collaboration tools include SharePoint, Communicator, LiveMeeting and Lotus Notes. With all the new functionality of these collaboration tools, IT Global Learning Leadership would like to ensure everyone within IT Global Learning is fully trained using all the capabilities of these technologies. This course will focus on utilization of these tools for effective communication across regional and global boundaries, as well as leveraging the individual tools for efficient use of physical and network resources organization-wide.
